used for many things, such as health benefits
and anti-aging effects. If you want to tone up
or slim down weight lifting is great for that too.
When the body lifts weights it has to use more calories
than normal, even more than when you are doing cardio.
When lifting weight you burn above double the amount,
so having 20 mins of weight lifting can burn more as
many as 40 mins of cardio, like running, spinning, playing
a sport.
Also when you are resting your body is consuming more calories
to feed your muscles, but don't over eat, the only time you can
eat alot of food without getting fat is 1 hour before exercise
and up to 3 hours after. But you must give a great workout for
about an hour for your body to release the proper hormones for
muscle muscle toning and firming.
